Apple has announced the new Mavericks operating system, inspired by the iconic wave spot, located in Half Moon Bay, California. The OS X Mavericks is the newest operating system by Apple. The company from California has decided to honour the local big wave with a brand new surfing theme. “We want to set a name that will carry us for at least the next ten years, and the answer was really obvious: it’s those places that inspire us here in California, the place where OS X is designed and built”, says Craig Federighi, software engineering leader at Apple.
