The town of Conwy, in North Wales, will debut a 6-foot artificial wave park by summer 2014. Surf Snowdonia, a multi-million pound surf themed outdoor attraction, was announced for Conwy, North Wales. The water sports center will feature 6-foot waves powered by Wavegarden and cable wakeboarding. The opening is set for summer of 2014. The project is planned for the Dolgarrog site, a small community in Conwy County Borough, in Wales, situated between Llanrwst and Conwy. Construction kicks off in September 2013.
