The Iberian Peninsula surfers have beaten the Canarian Island wave riders in the first battle of the Red Bull Rivals 2014, at El Confital, Las Palmas. There’s nothing better than winning on foreign waters. The Peninsulars, led by captain Gony Zubizarreta, have stolen the first battle in waves around two meters high. The day started with the tight FreeSurfers heat, in which the Basque Indar Unanue managed to win the Canarian Antonio Marqués. The second heat got Basque Garazi Sánchez against the Canarian Adelina Taylor in the water.
