Trestles and its multiple peaks are the stars of San Onofre State Beach, a place that seems to have been designed for riding waves. Lower Trestles is a proving ground for aspiring world surfing champions. It is often called a “high-performance wave” where nothing is impossible. Even getting barreled in a few A-frames.
