Garrett McNamara will travel to the town of Nazaré, in Portugal, to beat his own Guinness World Record for the biggest wave ever surfed. The bar is raised at 78 feet (23.7 meters). The ultimate big wave surfer from Haleiwa, Hawaii, is excited to return to Europe’s West Coast. In November 2011, Garrett McNamara was already exploring the potential of an undersea canyon, located just off the coast of Nazaré, with maximum depth of at least 5,000 meters (16,000 ft). From the very beginning, the big wave surfing team led by the Hawaiian charger believed that Praia do Norte could send what they were looking for. Insane rideable waves.
