Eight surfers have reached the quarterfinals of the Fiji Pro 2016, after another perfect day of surfing at Cloudbreak. Kelly Slater has always said Cloudbreak is one of his favorite waves in the world. The 11-time world champion has once again proved he has what it takes to win events. In his Round 4 act, Slater celebrated a Perfect 10-point ride and added a 9.77 to his near-perfect heat score. “I had to go on that last wave, and I just misjudged it. That was a heartbreaker. I got pitched and broke my leash and board. I am kind of tripping, even though I had a great heat. But I am putting all that behind me,” said Kelly Slater, who dedicated the win to the late Floridian surfer Robert Rohmann.
