Kelly Slater has broken a bone on the second and third toes of his left foot, but the champion won’t miss the 2014 Billabong Pipeline Masters. The 11-time world surfing champion is keeping his eyes on the title race, despite suffering an injury while riding waves at Cloudbreak, in Fiji. “The foam ball from the lip landing inside the barrel bounced back up and flipped the board into my foot, hyper-extending the toes backwards,” explains Kelly Slater on his Instagram feed.
