Kiron Jabour has taken out the 35th edition of the HIC Pro, in double overhead surf at Sunset Beach, Hawaii. The Hawaiian surfer beat O’Neill Massin, Beyrick De Vries, and Slade Prestwich in the 30-minute final. After a slow start, surfers quickly understood that positioning, patience, and tactics would pay off. “It was a really tight final. We missed a couple of sets because we didn’t know if there was going to be bigger sets coming in,” explained Jabour, a North Shore-bred surfer.
