Frederico Morais and Vasco Ribeiro have defeated Mick Fanning and Adriano de Souza, in Round 3 of the 2015 Moche Rip Curl Pro Portugal, held in Supertubos, Peniche. The Portuguese wildcards had a stellar day of surfing supported by an enthusiastic home crowd. As a result, the 2015 World Surf League champion will be decided in Pipeline, Hawaii. Morais opened his account with a near-perfect 9.13 and later backed it up with a 6.90. Fanning was out of the competition, but Frederico kept his composure and also won the Round 4 heat.
