Maxime Huscenot defeated Nomme Mignot to conquer the 2015 Soöruz Lacanau Pro, held in bumpy three-to-five foot surf, at Lacanau, in France. The competition was completely dominated by French surfers, who made the most of local knowledge to dominate the shifty beach break of Grande Plage. Huscenot used his powerful backhand snaps to take an early advantage over Mignot, who had already won the Junior division. After an 8.50 wave, Maxime backed it up with a 7.10.
