Modom Surf and Sharkbanz have teamed up to produce a shark deterrent leash. The Modom Shark Leash uses the well-known Sharkbanz technology. The magnetic field emitted by the new leash disrupts shark’s senses and keeps tiger sharks, reef sharks, hammerhead sharks, and bull sharks at a safe distance. The team behind the new shark deterrent for surfers tested the product on a wide variety of sharks. Although there is no promise of perfection, the risk has been dramatically reduced.
