Bruno Santos, winner of the Billabong Pro Tahiti Trials 2016, eliminated Matt Wilkinson from competition at Teahupoo and earned a spot in the quarterfinals. The world title race opened a new chapter. He won the event in 2008, and he knows the “End of the Road” like few others. Bruno Santos threw the top ranked surfer on the CT to the floor with a fantastic tube riding performance. “I am feeling really good. It is hard to surf against Wilko who is doing really well this year. I feel stronger that I beat the big guys. I just want to keep going, step-by-step,” explained Santos.
