World Surf League (WSL) has bought the annual Mavericks big wave surfing invitational. The organizers of the Big Wave Tour (BWT) reached an agreement with the Titans of Mavericks and Cartel Management to run the event during the 2017/2018 season. According to the documents filed in U.S. District Bankruptcy Court, WSL bought the multi-year rights to the Mavericks Invitational for $525,000.
